I love to come here again and again. Everything fits here. Compliments to the Fam Malathounis. It is always an experience for us. The cuisine is light with many flavors. I just say hammer. We are looking forward to the next time

Food interesting, artisanal to appreciate, but really nothing special. The Amphitrionine, well, polite but not really engaging. Greek dishes not to be found, for that much too international.

Didn't think it was great. I found out a bit about the place in advance and actually had high expectations. Only the "philosophy" on the website is so grandiose that it was almost good again. Pretty ridiculous anyway. When you arrived at the restaurant you were greeted very nicely. Filled with hunger I sat down and ordered food and drink as soon as possible. The drink for the aperitif, a creation of the house, was rather on a manageable level in terms of ingenuity and taste. I found the prices a bit salted, but in contrast the dishes were rather low in salt. But now it was time to get down to business: Finally the hunger could be satisfied. But then I probably made the bill without the restaurant "Malathounis"! Because here the food is served in such small - I hesitate to use the term - so-called portions, here you will be full who has either eaten beforehand or persuades that such a tickle of the palate will make you lose your appetite. Speaking of past appetites: the dishes were all okay in terms of taste. How you earn a star for it, however, is probably written in the stars. Couldn't find anything special about it without wanting to badmouth it. Seasonal and regional ingredients of high quality are really not a unique selling point these days. Unfortunately, I couldn't recognize any really "extraordinary ingredients" that go into "modern dishes" with "roots in traditional Greek cuisine" (meaning). In contrast to other star restaurants that actually served exquisite dishes, I was quite disappointed here. Traces of Greek cuisine can perhaps be recognized to some extent in the furnishings of the guest room, the color scheme of which reminded me more of an establishment in the red light district than of a high-class restaurant. To be highlighted positively, however, was the dessert. Well done, creative, delicious. You could almost think it wouldn't be that difficult! So much for service: it's a business with two employees, I mean a married couple. The woman does the service, and was mostly very nice and accommodating. What I didn't like that much: A couple of times she stretched out from my companion at the table. I expect something like that in the snack bar rather than in the starred restaurant. So much for my experience. Afterwards I had to visit another restaurant because I was well over a hundred euros poorer, but not even half full. That is probably the main reason for my disappointment: That the enjoyment was clearly neglected. I hope the operators take a few tips to heart and improve the restaurant so that I may consider dining here again. Finally, one more point about the premises: everything was relatively clean, including the sanitary facilities. A point where savings are often made, but not here!

Great food, great wine accompaniment - sometimes at this level I would have liked a description of the food when serving!

Great food, always something special. Service very good, especially the wine recommendations (where else in Germany do you get such good Greek wine?).

The food was exceptionally good and really special. It gave me a lot of pleasure. Only the rabbit back was a bit bland in taste. For such a great meal, I would like a more appealing terrace with the right level.

Just great. It's great what a Greek kitchen can do apart from eggplant filled with mince. You come from Cologne to get to know this star hotel. Happy to go back with friends.

Nice star restaurant in the Remstal. Menu and wine selection (lots of local pearls!) Are absolutely appropriate for a star. We were a little disappointed with the unsteady flexibility and also with the alternative menu selection, although it was communicated in advance that you don't eat meat but just love to eat fish. Instead, the meat was simply left out in one course, at least an important component in the normal course, and in another "only" a purely vegetarian course. All at the same price as the normal menu. Too bad, there was a great fish on the a la carte menu, which you would have liked to have taken if you were asked ... of course also with an extra charge. For wine, I would have liked a little more information than just looking at the bottle. One point deduction for this negligence, otherwise a clear recommendation.

Great food

My rating refers to the "service idea" of the landlady. The food was otherwise very good, except for the dessert, which was reminiscent of colorful fortune cookies and tasted that way. I ate several courses there with a business partner and we didn't skimp on the wine either, the recommendation was appropriate and we wanted to drink the last bottle comfortably empty, so we asked if it could get us something to "snack" on the side , This was acknowledged with the saying, "We are not a bistro but a restaurant, with us you eat and then go". That was around 10 p.m., there were still about three or four tables in the restaurant, so there was neither a lack of space nor the last of us. If the lady cannot live with the opening hours she has set herself, she would probably have to look for another job.

It is a real pleasure to eat here. Great creations from regional and especially Greek products. Delicious delicacies line up on the plates. The selection of wines to the menu is such a fantastic addition that you immediately come up with the idea to buy one or the other drops themselves. Last but not least, the atmosphere in this restaurant is so pleasant and natural, that you do not want to believe it was a star restaurant. Always worth a visit

I have been to this enchanting place several times now and I have to say it's just awesome every time. The innkeeper is - in contrast to other comments on this platform - super nice and extremely competent. The food is great with every visit, as well as the wines. The Michelin star well deserved, notably the great value for money! I will definitely come back!

Whether I would use the term "modern greek cuisine" myself can be doubted. Because it's more. Naturally modern. And of course also very Mediterranean. But also exciting, inspired and unique. And all in a feel-good atmosphere.
